Why You Don’t Use Your Paper Phone Book for A People Search

While you still may be getting a paper phone book at your door step once a year, the bottom line is that you just don’t need that thing anymore. It is about time that your local phone companies recognize that if you need to do a People search, you are better off accessing the Internet rather than using an unwieldy phone book. What’s more, the Internet offers you a much wider scope of areas to consider, so you are not limited by the county or city that you live in, you literally have the whole world at your fingertips.

Yes, trees are a renewable resource, but that doesn’t mean that phone companies need to continue to make these phone books that require a tree each to make. Instead, they would do better to save themselves the money on printing costs and use electronic media to advertise their People search services. Perhaps the most interesting point here is that phone companies already use the Internet to allow people to access the phone numbers that they need, the print option is simply redundant. If they are worried about their customers who don’t have Internet access, they should simply consider allowing those individuals to order a phone book rather than providing all of their customers with one.

This is the electronic age and as such everyone can turn on a computer, their cell phone, PDA, etc. to access the information that they want. If someone is on the road and they feel the need to look up an old friend, they can pull out their iTouch and do a People search and find their name and address in a matter of seconds. These new services make finding people a breeze.

If you want to find out where a person lives, if they are married, how many kids they have and so on, you can conduct an online People search and find out everything that you need to know. Many services, such as phone number and address services are free, more personal information may cost you a few dollars. Regardless, this is far more information that you could hope to find in your local phone book and the search is much easier as well.
