Taking English Courses in the United States
The English language is almost a universal language, many people in other countries speak English as either a first or second language. English courses in USA are very common for those students who have come to the United States to study. By studying English, even if one already knows how to speak the language, it will sharpen up grammar, pronunciation of words and other little things to perfect it. There are multiple universities around the country that offer courses in English but English courses in Boston and English courses in New York are very common and offered at the most universities in these two cities.
Some students take English courses in USA besides the normal load of course work, which can be overwhelming, because of the complexity of the language. It can also be hard to try and finance the class because they can be rather expensive. This is especially true for English courses in Boston and English courses in New York because they are held at well known schools where tuition is more expensive. Financial aid is very limited in the United States but many international students look to their home country for financing for these classes. Scholarships are also given out to students, and there are some specifically for international students, but they can be very competitive.
Sometimes an entire family will move to the United States without knowing very much English. This is where English courses in USA can really help out. Many parents will enroll their children in courses so they have an easier time in school and can help them communicate as well. There are just as many English courses offered in middle and high school as there are in colleges. Just like the colleges there are twice as many English courses in Boston and English courses in New York as there are in other places.
Just like many other students and families that take advantage of these courses I also wanted to take advantage of them. My family had just moved to the United States from Mexico and we spoke very little English. English courses in USA were very hard to find so I had to learn the language by listening. It took me a long time but today I speak English very well and have taught my parents how to speak the language. I have friends who were able to take English courses in Boston and English courses in New York and they said they had an awesome experience and were able to learn the language a lot faster than I did.
