MS Excel offers many features and functions

The advances in computer have changed many ways for us to organize and store information.  The templates that Microsoft has made are very functional and do away many errors that one could easily make in manual writing or making entries.  MS Excel 2003 and 2007 has features that are now very much used.  When searching for values, you could always go to excel help with vlookup.  This lookup has the “V” that stands for vertical.  It would mean the array of values would show vertically instead of horizontally.

The use of excel from the different versions is quite difficult to adjust to, especially from an older one to a new one.  For a person like me who hates formulas, it is very frustrating what those values would mean.  It is okay for me to use ordinary maths of addition and subtraction in excel but not more than that.  Trial and error in using excel sometimes helps but one will need to know how results came up.  Maybe writing down what you entered will make you keep track of the process.

Microsoft has always given aid to users when it comes to the applications.  That’s where the term ‘user-friendly’ came from, I believe.  The system used for excel is very convenient for accounting.  Marketing and management makes use of excel in graphics and presentations.  If you intend to use it for this purpose try to search ‘how to vlookup in excel 2007’.  Vlookup also applies to excel 2003.  The search for values is of great help in creating entries that might need to be repeated or will need a summation of.  Mousing over or clicking on a cell, row or column can also give information how excel interprets the contents.
