Church Guitar Stolen

An expensive guitar was recently stolen from a local community church in a suburb of Chicago and the seven hundred dollar instrument was owned by a local church musician who stored his guitar on the stage of the church and said that there were many activities throughout the day which required that he play for members of the congregation. The officers that responded to the call suggested that they spoke to a person who was inside the church the day of the theft who said that he had spoken with a person who might have been the thief.

The suspect was likely in his forties and anywhere from 5’7″ to almost six feet tall and had short brown hair with a probable mustache. So far nobody has been able to identify the man and it would seem that he might not have been from the area because he was originally inside the church asking for money for gas which would mean that he was likely trying to drive somewhere and had run out of gas around the vicinity of the church.

The theft means that the church musician will be unable to teach anyone how to learn how to play guitar and will also be unable to provide the church with any music. The church band is unsure how they will create the proper sound for the music to be played during services and they’re working on a solution in the meantime while the police continue their investigation into the theft and a replacement instrument is sought.
